James May’s Membership of the Porsche Fraternity

If you drive a classic 911, then it’s no surprise that driving your 911 is a special occassion.  Everytime you take her out she never fails to excite or thrill you.  The way she accelerates and handles is pure driving pleasure.  An escape from driving that mundain box that takes you too and from work and dropping the kids off at school.

Well it’s no different for some TV presenters too and James May from BBC’s Top Gear has joined the Porsche classic fraternity with a nice red example of a 3.2 Carrera.  Here’s a great video of James using his Carrera for his drive to work.  I totally feel his pain and frustration when he’s caught behind a Saab, and he can’t enjoy his car on one of is favourite bits of tarmac.

Interestingly watching this video you can see just how much James enjoys the drive by the expressive smile on his face. Once past the saab driver, James’ face lights up as he enjoys the remainder of his journey to work. This is you and me, everytime we take our 911′s out for a spin.

The moral of tis story is to get out there and drive your Porsche as much as possible!
