Let’s face it, it is very difficult these days to fully appreciate your Porsche on the roads. Poorly built roads, congestion and the dreaded speed cameras all combine to make enjoying the roads almost impossible. The only way to fully enjoy your Porsche and appreciate its true potential is to take it to a race track. A few days ago I spent the afternoon with a group of friends and their Porsche 911′s at Brands Hatch race circuit in Kent.
Brands Hatch is one of the UK’s most prestigious circuits and formely home to Foruma 1 racing. Today however Foruma 1 has moved to Silverstone, but Brands Hatch remains a truly wonderful circuit. Situated in Kent the circuit is either available to drivers in full GP layout of the shorter Indy circuit.
There were quite a few Porsches on circuit including Porsche 3.2 carrera’s, Porsche 911 SC, Porsche 996, Porsche 993 and a porsche Boxter. There was a fabulous Porsche IROC re-creation as well as a very nice recreation of a 3.2 Club Sport. It was a cold day, but this just added to the fun, providing a nice cold air charge to the air cooled engines.
Everyone had a great time pushing their 911′s to edge and truly enjoying what Porsches were designed for – driving them to the circuit, thrashing them around the ciruit and then, at the end of the day driving them home again with no drama.
There was some great video from the day. The Gopro camera and Stealth Cameras were in abundance and some great circuit video uploaded to Channel P101tv. Here’s a few excerpts from the days racing.

Trackdays are truly the best way to enjoy your Porsche and I couldn’t recommend it any more strongly. You havent enjoyed your Porsche properly, until you expeience what it can do on track.
