I've always wondered what they look like inflated!
I don't fancy blowing up a 30 year old tyre!!!! Hu. |

I had the unfortunate nedd to blow mine up. I had a blow out at high speed. So I got the car on the jack and spare out ready and realised I didnt have a pump
I knocked on a random door and the were great. Gave me a cup of coffee, a pump and some biscuits. The space saveer worked atreat. Looks crap but oes the job. Omore erious note, I think everyone should pull their spare evry once and while and inflate it to make sure it works. Better to find out at home rather than at the side of the road. |

I ditched my spare in the first week of ownership...15kg ballast ! I bought that 'tyre inflate' stuff in handy aerosol tin from Costco, its a lot lighter and will get you home or to a garage.

Some people use a modified Fuch with a space saver tyre on it. looks really good IMHO.

Quote: MarkJ at Feb 19, 2010 9:15:36 am Yeah, I guess. I wonder if the Fuch is lighter than the OEM steel one! I also think you have to modify the rim of the Fuch by welding a bead on to keep the typre in place. |

i think the clubsport had a lightweight aluminium space saver wheel. That would be the one to get hold of !
Rare as hens teeth no doubt. Sprightly 1134kg and falling. |
