My car is a 1986 3.2 Carrera Targa. With 56,000 miles.
It was previously owned by an American, who used to go back to the USA on a regular basis,
hence the low mileage, there are only 6 MOT's for the car, as it was garaged while he was back in the States.
I have a FULL service history with the car.
I spent over 2 years looking for the right car, and I've found it.
It's exactly the Spec. I wanted.

The car is Finished in Iris Blue metallic Paint, with Dark Blue Leather Pin Stripe Upholstery,
16'' Fuch Alloy Wheels, 6'' Front & 7'' Rears.
The car is in it's original condition, although some minor work is required.
To Date I Have Replaced:
Front and Rear Brakes, with Lockheed Vented Discs, and Mintex Pads,
Spark Plugs have been changed to Bosch Super 4,
A Genuine Porsche Air Filter,
New Bonnet and Engine Cover Support Struts,
Kumho Ecsta Sport Tyres Fitted All Round,
with Stainless Valves, and Inflated with Nitrogen,
Heater Control Knobs & Both Rear Heater Hoses,
Gear linkage Bushes with Uprated Polyurethane Type,
Clock Replaced,
Wiper Arms and Blades with Bosch Units,
I have Fitted a Thatcham 1 Approved Alarm/Immobiliser and Anti-Theft Wheel Nuts,
A Momo Steering Wheel, Hi-Level Brake Light, and a Headlamp Relay Kit to enable the fitting of 100 watt Headlamp Bulbs,
The Targa Top is Currently undergoing a Complete Re-furbishing,
Work to Do.
Fit Stainless Brake Hoses,
Re-dye Seats, (as they are slightly faded),
Fit New Rear Timing Chain Cover Gaskets, (very slight oil leak),

Hi Hu,
nice to see you here, and your cracking Targa - seen it in the flesh several times and tried to catch it blasting across the Welsh mountain passes.... She goes really well. :agree2:
In fact, here is a shot I caught of the old girl at a recent Porsche RS anniversary bash.

And here too!

Welcome old chap :agree:

Welcome Hu.

Nice old girl you have there.  Nice find too to get one in such good condition and low mileage.

Your mods make sense too.

What are your plans?  Keep it most OEM or mod her a little more in the power department.

Apart from what I've already done, no nothing.
I would like some 8 or 9 X 16 Fuchs for the rear,
Probably have more luck finding some rocking horse poo!!!!

I've added a few bits to the 'old girl', thought you guys might like to have a look.
I bought a cheap strut brace off E-bay,(£29) just to see if it made any difference for road use,
I have to say, it seems to have made the front more positive in fast corners.
I've also fitted the turbo Tie Rod conversion, so this may have helped that as well.  :agree:

I have fitted the 9'' wheels to the rear, and put the 7'' on the front, looks MUCH better.action-smiley-035.gif

I have fitted a Sparco suede steering wheel, and an Alloy gear Knob, nice feel these give.

She sits reall well Hu.  The wheels and ride height really make her look planted.  Nice work!
