Performance Stats

November 2007 3.5l plus MoTec
The engine is now completely rebuilt and increased in capacity to 3.5l with twin spark, Jenvey throttle bodies, GTII camshaft profiles, high flow injectors and gasflowed crank case.

The power was 326.5 bhp @ 6,659 rpm
The torque was 263.8 lbft @ 6,149 rpm

The resulting performance produces a very exciting drive. The power is delivered smoothly and progressively right across the rev range. This combined with instant throttle reponse makes for a very enjoyable drive.

September 2004 Motec Dyno
With the Motec M48 Pro installed some recovery of power was achieved. Despite the pressure losses across the pistons some interesting results were achieved.

The power was 211.8 bhp @ 6,096 rpm
The torque was 186.8 lbft @ 5,794 rpm

The Motec engine management has dramatically improved power and torque and achived these higher numbers at lower engine speeds. The power delivery is also much smotther through the rev range.

Sept 2004 Baseline Dyno
The initial dyno revealed some serious problems with the stock 3.2 carrera engine transplanted in place of its 2.7l predecessor.

The power was 196.4 bhp @ 6,246 rpm
The torque was 173.5 lbft @ 5,417 rpm

further analysis revealed pressure losses ranging from 20% to 45% across the pistons.

  Dyno Results: Sept 2004
